| One of two identical vehicles with extensive BMW Individual equipment that were likely used for internal evaluation purposes by BMW of North America. Both were painted Mugello Red with gloss black contrasting aero panels and equipped with Shadowline exterior trim, as well as high-gloss Bubinga wood interior trim. Originally, these cars were fitted with Anthracite "M-Symbol" cloth seats (as used in the European-market E34 M5 "20 Jahre" edition) with Amaretta bolsters. They also featured red seatbelts, as well as a red leather steering wheel, gearshift knob and parking brake handle. However, at some point prior to public sale, their original interiors were replaced by a more subdued version featuring Black Nappa leather with red piping and leather armrests. At this point, the red seatbelts and red leather interior items were presumably substituted for standard black versions, while exterior door handles inlaid with the “BMW Motorsport” text were added. |
